Why A New Ink?
The development of a versatile ink base was prompted by a physical reaction to the years of exposure to solvents and odors in a closed studio environment. I wanted an ink that handled and dried like the inks I had learned
with, and, I wanted an ink that could mimic the beauty and luminosity of the Japanese woodblocks.
The Inks have evolved over the past decade into a reliable and versatile printing ink for hand prints. The walnut oil base for the ink is non-yellowing which means those subtle blues in a print will not change color, a natural reaction of commercially refined linseed oil.
We are located in South Denver and visits are always welcome. Call or email to set a time to explore the process and visit.
Watch for the Weekender Workshops which explore print techniques in one day sessions. Watch for listings at the Reference Page.
